Drivers can use the innoviCares card to save money on select brand-name prescription medications at pharmacy

You can use innoviCares with your existing public or private drug plan or on its own. Simply present your card along with a prescription for any of the 100+ medications participating on innoviCares to save money instantly at over 98% of Canadian pharmacies.

How it works

The innoviCares card is a free prescription savings card available to everyone in your organization. The card helps you save on select prescription medications and is funded by participating pharmaceutical manufacturers. Use innoviCares with your existing drug plan or on its own. InnoviCares will cover some or all of the cost of a participating product.

Simply click the Get a Card button and receive your unique innoviCares card. Complete the steps to set up your online profile. Your card will always belong to you and won’t expire. There are no additional forms to fill out or waiting periods for coverage – you can print and use your card immediately.

  • Present your innoviCares card along with a prescription and ask for the original brand-name medication.
  • The pharmacy will process your card just like any other drug card.
  • Your card will automatically cover a portion of participating brands.

From your innoviCares profile, you can track your savings, set refill reminders, and manage your medications.

As of April 15, 2021, the Government of Quebec has implemented new regulations restricting financial assistance programs to patients for drugs covered by RAMQ reimbursement and which appear on the Quebec formulary.

If your medication has a generic available and is reimbursed by the RAMQ, it is impacted by this regulation. However, if you are an innoviCares program participant and you’ve received a payment or reimbursement on your current medication prior to April 15, you will continue to receive innoviCares reimbursement for your medication.

However, as of April 15, 2021, no new patients will be eligible to receive payment or reimbursement on innoviCares medications for which a generic is listed on the Quebec formulary. Please note: These medications have been removed from the listing below.

If your medication is NOT reimbursed by the RAMQ, it is exempt from this regulation and all existing and new patients can continue to receive reimbursement through innoviCares.

  1. Get reimbursed immediately when you fill your prescription at a participating pharmacy.
  2. Submit your receipt for a participating innoviCares medication online and get reimbursed by cheque or electronic transfer.
